Key Responsibilities:
- Handling daily bookkeeping and accounting operations as per Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
- Preparing and maintaining Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records.
- Managing Bank Reconciliations and ensuring accurate records of cash flow.
- Recording journal entries for purchases, sales, expenses, depreciation, and GST adjustments.
- Preparing and assisting in BAS (Business Activity Statement) lodgment and GST Reconciliation.
- Supporting in Payroll Processing, including Superannuation and PAYG withholding compliance.
- Assisting in the preparation of Financial Reports and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Communicating with clients and internal teams to gather necessary financial information.
- Using accounting software like Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks Australia for daily transactions and reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with ATO (Australian Taxation Office) regulations.
- Supporting audit processes and responding to auditor requests
Key Skills Required:
- Good understanding of Australian GST, BAS, and Superannuation.
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Principles (AASB standards).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of depreciation, payroll calculations, and bank reconciliation.
- Good communication skills for client interactions.
Educational Qualification:
- B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / MBA Finance or equivalent.
- Intermediatory level of expertise of MS office.
