How Finac works

From the first conversation to the monthly rhythm

You share the bank statement and the bills. Finac posts, reconciles, files and closes, and puts the numbers in front of you every month. Here is how an engagement runs, what Finac takes responsibility for, and what we need from you.

Responsibility

What Finac takes responsibility for, in writing

Books

Posted from the bank within 24 hours and reconciled continuously.

Compliance

GST, TDS and payroll filed and deposited on time, reconciled to the books, with no reminders from you.

Company law

ROC filings coordinated and the statutory calendar carried through the year.

The close

The month closed by a fixed working day for your band, with a pack you can read in fifteen minutes.

Exceptions

Blocked input credit, suspense, unmatched receipts and cash pressure surfaced weekly with a proposed action.

The team

Named people who know the business, and a partner you can reach.

What you provide lives in one place. Statements, bills and documents go into the file manager, or arrive by email and WhatsApp and are filed for you.

Every filing is a job with a date and a named owner. This is a GSTR-1 filing on the calendar, with the person responsible.
Service standards

The standard rises with the band

Every band keeps the books within 24 hours of the bank. Closing day, reporting depth, team and response time move with the scope of the engagement.

What we need from you

Four things, stated before the engagement

The 24-hour standard depends on them, so Finac says so up front and declines recurring work where they cannot be met.

  • Read access to bank statements
  • Documents on the agreed turnaround. Five working days is standard
  • One named person on your side who owns the numbers
  • Decisions when asked, usually through the weekly digest

How the fee moves

On evidence, in advance

When the business adds a GST registration, crosses a payroll threshold, opens a marketplace, takes a loan or raises a round, the fee moves to the band the business now belongs to, from the next month, with a signed addendum. Nothing is added quietly and nothing is billed for past months.

Questions

Frequently asked

How long does onboarding take?

Kickoff within three working days of the engagement letter. Bank access, documents and your designated contact in the first week. The first weekly digest within 21 days, and the first full monthly pack after the first month-end.

Who will I deal with?

A named account manager from the Growth band upward, shared in Foundation, and a dedicated team in Complex and CFO. A partner reviews the file quarterly from the Established band.

I am switching from another accountant. What happens to the old books?

Finac takes the opening balances, reconciles them to the bank and to the last filed returns, and lists what it cannot verify. Historical clean-up, where needed, is priced as a separate project so the recurring fee stays honest.

What do I have to do each month?

Provide documents on the agreed turnaround, answer the three things in the weekly digest, attend the monthly review where your band includes one, and decide when asked.

Can Finac work with my auditor?

Yes. Finac keeps the books and prepares the audit file. An independent auditor audits them, and Finac coordinates the audit as part of the engagement.
